Assisting Separating and Retiring Military Officers for Careers in the Civilian Workforce

This program is to assist military officers’ transition from high-level military service to placements in the civilian workforce in which they can thrive and grow. There are a unique need and few resources specifically target assisting these talented and well-trained individuals. In this session, we will examine the issues, discuss how we can mitigate these issues and facilitate job placement/retention, and address how we intend to scale our efforts.

Key Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will:

  1. Realize the unique issues retiring/separating military officers face as they attempt to transition from military service to the civilian workforce.
  2. Identify how to work better with retiring/separating military officer job seekers and employees, facilitating job placement and retention.
  3. Understand the enormity of the problem and how the solutions serve the candidates, our organizations, our state, and our country.
