Strategic HR is not a group of self-contradicting words.  In an effort to truly be leaders at their respective organizations, HR professionals are finding more ways to spend time on strategic initiatives and less time on transactional items.  Thanks to technological advancements, HR professionals are allowed more time to do meaningful and strategic work.  In this session, the discussion will be around clarifying the difference between tactical or transactional items and strategy.  We will also discuss how strategic HR management is winning the day.

Jason Thurman

Jason Thurman is an accomplished Human Resource’s leader with over 16 years of experience.  He partners with senior management to mitigate and manage risk through strategic planning, frame work development and regulatory compliance.  His expertise in employee training, retention and engagement facilitate EngageMED’s vision to reach excellence by focusing on the power of their most valuable assets – their people.  

Jason graduated from the university of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in English. He received his master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University in 2013.
