Maggie Young, LCSW, CEAP, serves as the President of Little Rock-based Southwest EAP, which stands as the oldest and largest independent EAP provider in Arkansas. Established in 1978, SWEAP has been steadfast in delivering counseling, consultation, training, crisis response, and organizational development services to a diverse range of clients encompassing companies and government organizations. With 25 years of extensive experience, Maggie holds licensure as a Clinical Social Worker and certification as an Employee Assistance Professional. Originally from Pine Bluff, Maggie pursued her academic journey, obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Auburn University in 1994, followed by a Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama in 1998. Notably, she possesses a keen interest in SEC football. Beyond her professional endeavors, Maggie has made significant contributions to her community. She has served as the Past President of the Junior League of Little Rock and currently holds the position of Past President and Board Member at the Arkansas Foodbank. Additionally, she graduated from Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXVII, assuming roles as Co-Chair and Chair of Classes XXXVI and XXXVII, while also serving on the Alumni Board. Maggie's involvement extends to her role as the Parent’s Auxiliary President at Episcopal Collegiate School. She and her husband Chris have two children, Finley and Emma. They recently built a garden and acquired chickens during the pandemic, and are learning about urban farming through trial and error.
