Ensuring Safety Compliance with a Lebron James Workforce while still using a Michael Jordan Compliance Program
Key Objectives
(1) Identifying the multiple generations at work and what motivates them as well as what demotivates them. (2) How to develop, revise, and implement an effective safety compliance program to account for the differences between these different generations. (3) Equipping employers with the tools on how these methods will need to be applied beginning with company culture, hiring, onboarding, and then workplace compliance.
It will address how the implementation of this program will need to take into consideration the different generations at work, how these generations learn and apply, as well as what motivates, demotivates, and deters them from being safe on the job.

Keneasha Scott, a native of Wynne, Arkansas, is a Criminal Justice Graduate, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, who holds a Master of Science in Psychology, with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Capella University. As Safety & Loss Control Administrator in the manufacturing realm over 19years ago, her investigative, legal and data reporting skills were utilized to enact controls for Environmental, Health and Safety management systems. Working in conjunction with corporate team leaders, Keneasha developed, implemented, and maintained numerous Environmental, Health, Hygiene, and Safety programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local agencies including OSHA, ADOL, EPA, ADEQ, ADEM, NIOSH, NFPA, and DOT, as well as utilizing her certification as a Certified Interrogator to investigate accidents, loss control situations, thus reducing overall costs with companies. Scott’s Top 5 Clifton Strengths are: Arranger, Responsibility, Individualization, Relator, and Strategic. As a Private Consultant for the last 13 years, Scott continued to develop her environmental, health and safety skills, and began to focus on other aspects of loss control such as professional development, fostering positive behaviors in work cultures, and providing assistance with companies in reducing liability concerns as they relate to employees, product liability, transportation of products; Scott has assisted numerous companies in developing and implementing regulatory driven Management Programs including Industrial Hygiene and Training. Using her background in Quality, certifications as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, an OHASAS 18001 Auditor, she has assisted companies with implementing programs that focus on quality control, liability controls, and those issues that enter the workplace to reduce companies’ bottom line. The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission has recognized Keneasha as an Approved Professional Safety Source (APSS) and a Field Service Representative (FSR) and the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has authorized her as a trainer in General Industry Code of Federal Regulation Standards. She is certified by the Reid Institute in Interviewing and Interrogation and serves as an active member of the Central Arkansas Chapter of American Society of Industrial Security and serves as the Youth Liaison to the security community. Scott, having received a Yellowbelt through Six Sigma Principles, thrives on investigating accidents and incidents, determining root cause, and implementing corrective actions. Scott is often called upon for Subject Matter Expert (SME) related activities as well as to give expert witness testimony in investigations she has conducted. Scott has been instrumental in assisting regulatory agencies, law and policy makers, with implementing cultural and diversity programs, safety in school initiatives, daycare loss control measures, and crisis management situations to assist companies with keeping up with the changes in times and the ever-changing workforce. During the pandemic, Keneasha realized that compliance would have to be “backed up a step” and the overall picture of a workplace needed to be repainted, so she enrolled in a program to further her education for better understanding. After having obtained her Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, she feels that she has not only learned the why, where employees are concerned, but now knows the how and the how to fix it! Keneasha Scott now serves as Director of Regulatory Compliance for K Scott Consults, LLC. Serves as the Chair of Special Projects and Compliance for the Black HR Professionals organization. Serves on the Arkansas SHARP/VPP Committee and the Amputation Prevention Subcommittee. She is the Chapter Liaison for Women and Youth in Security and the Chapter Secretary for the Central Arkansas Chapter of American Society of Industrial Society (ASIS). She is a member of the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association (a local chapter of Arkansas Society of Human Resources (SHRM). She serves on the Little Rock Community Schools’ Advisory Council. She is the Board Secretary for Atmosphere Changers, Inc. for Another Girl on Fire and Men on Fire in Wynne. And she is a proud and active member of the Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Through K Scott Consults, LLC, Keneasha Scott has been honored as the 2020 Global Entrepreneurship Week Big Pitch Winner by Judges and Audience Choice. A member of the Venture Center’s Spark Cohort Class of 2020. The 2021 LR Regional Chamber Minority Owned Business of the Year. A member of the 2021 Inaugural Women’s Economic Mobility Hub through the Arkansas Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and has recently been selected as a Business Mentor in the Inaugural VC Woman Achieve Program through the Venture Center. Scott, known in the industry as “K Scott - The Safety Lady” enjoys solving problems for companies as well as speaking in front of groups presenting information from knowledge she has obtained throughout the years.
