This workshop teaches participants to recognize signs of toxic work cultures and how to proactively resolve issues. It highlights HR's pivotal role in preventing toxic environments, through proactive intervention and open communication. Attendees will learn practical strategies to create and maintain positive work cultures, focusing on policies and practices that support employee wellness and engagement. Participants will leave equipped with the knowledge and tools to promote a healthy, supportive work environment within their organizations.

Erin Scoggins, the Owner of HR Path, LLC, is a results-driven HR professional with over 20 years of experience in human resources, customer service operations, project management, and HR systems administration. Leveraging her expertise in HR, leadership development, and project management, Erin collaborates with clients to enhance their HR operations and deliver strategic solutions. She earned her master’s degree in human resource management from Webster University and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Erin holds several certifications, including Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI®, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. She also holds a Life Coach Certification from the Coach Training Alliance, using her skills to coach other HR professionals. Erin is dedicated to fostering inclusive and engaging work environments that embrace diversity in people, perspectives, and experiences to advance organizational missions, goals, and values. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion began in 2016 when she served as a parent advisor on the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In 2020, she was appointed Special Diversity Advisor to the CEO of USAble Life. In that position, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Company’s Inclusion Council and Employee Resource Groups. These initiatives led to a 15% increase in engagement among the Company’s minority employees. In 2021, Erin shared her expertise as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion panel speaker for the Central Arkansas Human Resource Association’s Managers & Supervisors Conference and Work Matters Leadership Forum. In 2024, Erin started her own consulting firm, HR Path, LLC, where she continues to coach, mentor, and consult with HR professionals and business leaders, empowering them with tools to drive change within their organizations and create healthy and positive organizational cultures. Erin is a Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., with 26 years of service, where she has held several leadership roles, including Graduate Advisor and, as an undergraduate, President and Vice-President. She is also a 20-year member of the Junior League of Little Rock and a 2023 graduate of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXXVIII. An Arkansas native, Erin currently resides in Maumelle with her 11- and 12-year-old sons, Kendall and Greyson, and her husband of 18 years, Neal. In her downtime, Erin loves reading, binge-watching reality TV shows, and traveling with her family.
