Matt is a respected human resources leader, speaker, educator, and coach with over 15 years’ experience in human resources, operations management, education, and nonprofit leadership. Matt began his career in nonprofit leadership and then transitioned into operations management. As an operations leader, Matt saw a lack of trust in human resources within his organization and it prompted him to pursue master’s degree in human resources and change career direction. It was while pursuing his master’s degree, that Matt pivoted, left operations leadership, and started a small recruiting firm. Upon finishing his master’s degree, Matt closed his recruiting business and re-entered the corporate world, working for a major manufacturer, in a plant of 1000 associates as an HR Generalist. This foundation helped prepare Matt for future leadership positions in human resources, as well as open doors for him in training and development and education. Matt has had the privilege of delivering training to existing and future leaders in every organization he’s been in. He’s earned the trust of leadership wherever he's served. He’s a people’s champion that supports both employees and management with a pragmatic approach. In addition to speaking regularly on topics related to human resources and leadership, Matt also teaches courses in human resources for Southern New Hampshire University, and continues to be an HR practitioner, serving as a Regional Human Resources Manager. Matt has an uplifting presence combining his years of experience with an infectious sense of humor that positively impacts all those around him. Matt believes in the capacity of the human spirit and wants to see all people flourish. His speaking engagements afford him the opportunity to encourage colleagues and future leaders, reminding them of their own capacity to influence others for good.
