Gina Smith is Chief Executive Officer and Principal Consultant of Rock Region Consulting, Inc. which helps small to mid-size businesses improve their human resources by creating a culture of compliance, supporting employee engagement and building efficient administrative processes. As a specialist on all matters affecting work, workers and the workplace, Gina is frequently sought-after to advise on critical workforce concerns—from sexual harassment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Experienced in both the not-for-profit and for-profit space, her decade of industry leadership includes roles in retail, manufacturing, healthcare, communications, IT, hospitality and unionized environments. She is an active volunteer for education, employment, and other social causes, formerly serving on the boards of the Central Arkansas Human Resource Association (CAHRA) and Black Human Resource Professional Network (BHRPN). She also enjoys serving as a workforce readiness facilitator at Our House which is an organization that empowers homeless and near-homeless families and individuals to succeed in the workforce. Gina holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business: Management from the University of Phoenix. She also holds a Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification from Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), as well as Development Dimension International (DDI), Certified Facilitator and Ken Blanchard Certified Trainer certifications. and a HR Consultant certification from International Association of Professions Career College. Gina holds professional memberships with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Central AR HR Association (CAHRA), Black HR Professional Network (BHRPN), and AR Public Employers HR Association (APEHRA).
