Morris Morrison
Keynote Speaker at Morris Morrison
Morris Morrison's rise to become a global leader began in New York City, where he was orphaned by the loss of his parents. He was later adopted and raised in Fairmont, WV, where he lost his second set of parents. Despite early challenges, his God-given talent has allowed him to shine as one of the leading world-class communicators of his generation. After Morris received his psychology degree from Fairmont State University, his journey included acceptance as an early pre-med student into the Health Careers Opportunity Program at West Virginia University before graduating from WVU's MSIR master's business program. His early professional journey included roles in human resources and sales with companies such as BB&T Bank and Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company. Today, as a world-renowned professional speaker and consultant, Morris Morrison is the go-to source for the top organizations in the world. The estimated valuation of companies that he has impacted is eight to ten trillion dollars, and counting—impacting audiences such as Walmart, The National Basketball Association, Microsoft, Pfizer, GE, Bank of America and the White House. His impact at colleges and universities includes Harvard, The University of Florida, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Syracuse, Florida State University and many others. Morris Morrison is a recent inductee into the West Virginia University Academy of Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame—a rare honor shared by only 130 individuals since WVU's creation in 1867. He is a best-selling author, speaker, and role model to many. His books include titles such as Overnight Success, Disrupt Yourself and his upcoming, newest release, titled Rise Anyway. Morris was recently ranked as the #1 Global Keynote Speaker in the world by the Million Dollar Round Table's global speaker committee, where he was selected to open their annual conference in Dubai—a highly coveted spot for global thought leaders. He was honored by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as one of their top 40 global speakers in their initial speakers bureau. He is currently represented by Keppler Speakers, a global agency that has represented former Presidents of the United States, celebrities, icons and global thought leaders. Morris is currently working to produce an eight-episode Netflix special with Paramount Pictures and Atlas Entertainment, the creators of last year's Oscar-winning film, Oppenheimer. Morris served for six years on the WVU Alumni Board of Directors and, currently, he serves on the board for the John Chambers College of Business at WVU. Morris also continues to serve and has held numerous roles in many organizations, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the YMCA, the Chestnut Mountain Ranch home for boys. Although it seems as though Morris Morrison is just getting started, he remains to be a true servant leader who credits any of his success in life to his faith in God. He is married to another beautiful, proud West Virginian. His wife, Lisa, is a Parkersburg, WV native. Morris also cherishes his role as a father to his daughter Dorothy Jean "Dori" Morrison, and as a brother to many.
