Preparing for Communicable Diseases

Employers have a duty of care to provide a safe work environment. This session will help employers to prepare for communicable diseases in a manner that reduces workplace interruptions while keeping workers safe.  We will discuss ways to take adaptive actions and what information employers are required to capture when the workplace is exposed.  

Key Objectives:

  • Establish a policy and an actionable plan
  • Reducing employer liability 
  • Determine employer response and identify measures to ensure continued operations

Keneasha Scott

Keneasha Scott, a native of Wynne, Arkansas, is a Criminal Justice Graduate, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, As Safety & Loss Control Administrator in the manufacturing realm over 17 years ago, her investigative, legal and data reporting skills were utilized to enact controls for Environmental, Health and Safety management systems. Working in conjunction with corporate team leaders, Keneasha developed, implemented, and maintained numerous Environmental, Health, Hygiene, and Safety programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local agencies including OSHA, ADOL, EPA, ADEQ, ADEM, NIOSH, NFPA, and DOT, as well as utilizing her certification as a Certified Interrogator to investigate accidents, loss control situations, thus reducing overall costs with companies. 

Through K Scott Consults, LLC, Keneasha Scott has been honored as the 2020 Global Entrepreneurship Week Big Pitch Winner by Judges and Audience Choice. A member of the Venture Center’s Spark Cohort Class of 2020. The 2021 LR Regional Chamber Minority Owned Business of the Year. A member of the 2021 Inaugural Women’s Economic Mobility Hub through the Arkansas Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and has recently been selected as a Business Mentor in the Inaugural VC Woman Achieve Program through the Venture Center. 

Scott, known in the industry as “The Safety Lady” enjoys solving problems for companies as well as speaking in front of groups presenting information from knowledge she has obtained throughout the years.
