Alison Williams is a consultant to non-profit and corporate clients. From 2016-2023, she served as Chief of Staff to Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, supporting his transformational vision for the State. Before returning to Arkansas, Williams worked in the Washington, DC, area for more than a decade in the public and private sectors. Having served in the U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Defense, she understands the value of cooperation and the necessity of strong relationships. At DoD’s U.S. Africa Command, Williams led the Interagency Board, which was integral to building a whole-of-government approach to the unique security challenges on the African continent. While at the Department of Homeland Security, she managed the external affairs portfolios in the Office of the Under Secretary for Border and Transportation Security and at the Transportation Security Administration. In these roles, she worked closely with public affairs, legislative affairs, other federal agencies, state and local partners and the White House to develop policies that make Americans more secure. Early in her career, Williams worked for former Congressmen Asa Hutchinson and John Boozman (AR-03). Williams is a 1999 graduate of the University of Arkansas and holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. She is on the executive committee of the University of Arkansas’s Data Science Advisory Council and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Committee at the Clinton School for Public Service. Williams is married to Bob Kucheravy of Litchfield County, Connecticut and is the proud daughter of MSgt (ret.) Dave and Vicki Williams, who encouraged her innate curiosity, which has resulted in extensive travel in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
