Talent & Behavior: The Intersection of the Brain & People Processes
Our brains are constantly “on,” navigating the world with minimal effort. Meaning, blind spots are nearly impossible to detect, leading to automatic, unconscious, and unintentional decision-making. Without the intentional design of our systems/processes, we may not yield the desired results in leading our talent. Assessing the impact of fight-or-flight, unconscious biases, and its effects on our systems/processes. Ending with strategies to mitigate our biases through Growth Mindset.
Key Objectives

Identifying and Understanding the Impact of Bias in People Processes: Such as recruiting, performance management, investigations, and workplace safety. 3. Tiffany Curry
Vice President Of Human Resource & Risk Management at DYNE Hospitality Group
Tiffany Curry is from Peoria, IL, where she attended Augustana College and earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology (Cognition) and Political Science with an emphasis in American Government/Constitutional Law. She also holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Human Resource Management. During her time at Robert Morris University-Morris Graduate School of Management, Tiffany worked as a graduate assistant and studied abroad in London, conducting research at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the US Embassy. Tiffany's career at Caterpillar Inc spanned from May 2012 to May 2020. During her tenure, she held various roles in Global Succession Management & Career Development, Global Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Global Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services HR, Front Line Operations Supervisors, North American Dealer HR Consultant, and Human Resource Manager. Following her time at Caterpillar, Tiffany joined Pactiv Evergreen as Senior HR Manager, where she successfully negotiated three separate labor agreements for seven different local unions and oversaw a mass reduction in force. She then transitioned from the manufacturing industry to the hospitality sector, taking on the role of Vice President of Human Resources & Risk Management with DYNE Hospitality Group. In this position, she led the entire people organization and managed an employee population of 2,800 employees across eight states. DYNE Hospitality Group, an award-winning franchisee, is the largest franchisee of Tropical Smoothie Cafes, with over 115 cafes located in eight states. With over 15 years of experience in human resources, Tiffany is an award-winning strategist in talent acquisition, pipeline development, employee development, and workplace behavior. She has successfully integrated her knowledge and principles of psychology into her role as a Human Resources leader, demonstrating proven impact and effectiveness.
