What's Missing From Your Onboarding Process - A look into Training Within Industry for Manufacturing

A sense of urgency is causing an examination of the extraordinary accomplishments of companies during WWII. By using Job Instruction and Job Relations programs to increase war-time production, the results speak for themselves. There is a growing realization around the globe that TWI is precisely what is needed to fill the retention gap within companies today. Many companies have experienced a 70% reduction in Turnover over a 6-month period.

Brandon Brown, MSE

Manager of Client Services at Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions

Brandon Brown is proud to be a team member of Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions as a Manager of Client Services. Prior to joining AMS, he was the Owner and Master Kata Coach at Continuous Coaching Commitment, LLC, delivering tangible and sustainable continuous improvement results as a Toyota Kata Master Coach and Lean Instructor/Facilitator. From 2012-present, he has dedicated much of his time to daily coaching and teaching people how to reach Strategic Challenges using Toyota Kata, TWI and Lean at organizations such as Helena Industries, Xpress Boats, Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis TN, La-Z-Boy, among others. Brandon and his team of Master Kata Coaches coached in 14 of 22 BMHCC hospitals to over 175 Improvement Kata teams and 12 Advance/Shepherding Groups, each week, and each month throughout 2016-2019. Brandon has delivered keynote addresses at the 2017, 2018, & 2019 TWI North American Summits and delivered the Toyota Kata Experience course in nine of ten Annual KataCon & TWI Summit from 2015-24. In November 2017, he was the Keynote speaker at the first TWI-Kata Summit in Prague, CZ and Zilina, SK, in Central Europe to celebrate the newest release of the 19th language of the Toyota Kata book. He has taught Training Within Industry and the Toyota Kata Experience over 300 times globally from Canada, Sweden, Germany, the University of Gent, BE, and The Netherlands. From 2017-2019 he taught a 3-day hands on practical Toyota Kata Experience course in Malaysia, the Philippines, and for Nike Footwear and Apparel’s in Vietnam Brandon was a Visiting Professor of Operations Management at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville from 2006-2016, both teaching and developing online courses in the Industrial Engineering department. Brandon was a Regional Director and board member for the Southeast Region of the AME from 2012-2016. He is also a Certified John Maxwell Coach, Teacher, and Speaker. Prior to his current work, he advanced through management leadership at Central States Mfg., as Regional Operations Manager for three facilities in the Eastern Region, which served 17 states. He has served as Engineering Manager for Waterloo Industries and Project Engineer for Lincoln Automotive. He has a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Professional Engineers license in Arkansas.
