Donna Merriweather, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Human Resource at Arvest Bank

Donna Merriweather is a human resource management professional with over thirty years’ experience with oversight of strategic planning in regard to policies and procedures, staffing, benefits, compensation administration, and training in multi-state environments in both the financial and manufacturing industries. She is currently in the financial industry working in the Human Resource area at Arvest Bank and was the Chief Human Resource Officer for Bear State Financial, Inc. She received her SPHR in 2001 and her SHRM-SCP in 2015. She was recognized by her peers in 2003 as Arkansas’ Outstanding Professional in Human Resource Management and the local chapter in 1998 and 1996. She is currently the State-Director Elect for the Arkansas Society for Human Resource Management and has been an active member of the council for many years serving as the State Conference Chairperson and as the State Legislative Director. She is a graduate of the Hot Springs Leadership Institute, Class II.  Donna is active in her community and currently sits on the First Step School Board of Directors and is the past United Way Chairperson in Garland County.
