Trends in Behavioral Health and the Workplace

Key Objectives

Participants will learn: 1) What is impacting the mental health of employees and what prevents them from getting care 2) How the mental health of employees impacts employers and the need to address it 3) How to foster an environment that supports the mental health of employees

Liz will talk about the current state of mental health, how it is impacting employees and the resultant impact on employers. What factors are at play in preventing individuals from seeking care and how employers can help foster an environment conducive to good behavioral health.

Liz Gallus

Behavioral Clinical Strategist at Cigna Healthcare

Liz Gallus is the Behavioral Clinical Strategist for Mid-South, Tri-South and GA/AL markets (AR, MS, KY, TN, GA, AL). In her role she supports Cigna Sales teams, New Business Managers, Client Managers and market leadership as the behavioral health Subject Matter Expert for Cigna's behavioral health products as well as providing knowledge of clinical and operational processes and partnering with Evernorth Behavioral Health when needed. Liz began her Cigna career in 2010 with Cigna Behavioral Health (CBH) as a Care Manager. During her 13+ years with Cigna she has held various roles with CBH and with Client Implementation and Service before becoming a Behavioral Clinical Strategist in 2021. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to her work at Cigna Liz worked both in non-profit and private practice specializing in depression and treatment of trauma. Liz is passionate about de-stigmatizing and normalizing mental health.
